The Story of Jennie - The new neighborhood is named after Jennie Priest, the matriarch of a pioneer Sequim family. It occupies part of the family's original homestead where the 1870's barn is still visible.

The George and Jennie Priest family moved to Sequim in 1890 from Ontario, Canada, and settled on a 160-acre homestead in the Happy Valley. Their fourteen children and many descendants helped shape the history of the Sequim Valley.
